Lauren Lopez as Zazzalil 

Lauren is an actress, singer and dancer currently living in Los Angeles, CA and is PUMPED for Firebringer. She most recently performed in and choreographed The Tin Can Brothers' original musical "Spies are Forever" which just ended its run in LA! She is an original member of Team StarKid and has worked with them on several new musicals, two national tours, and partnerships with The Second City & iO in Chicago. In addition to performing, Lauren has also worked as a choreographer for new musicals. She's also done a bunch of commercials which are wonderful on account of the residual checks.

We're so happy to have Lauren back in Chicago! It wouldn't be a StarKid Summer without her! She's also perfect for a stone-age show, as she doesn't enjoy the modern luxury of gluten!

Another record weekend for Firebringer!

Once again you guys have gone above and beyond to help make Firebringer an amazing StarKid show! We reached our stretch goal this weekend, and now have over $125,000 pledged! Go Team Firebringer!  What do you think of that nickname? Team Fire-cats? Team F-bomb?

4 DAYS LEFT!

We've got until 4pm on Friday, April 15 to keep these pledges going!  The budget is going to be a little larger than we thought, but that's because some things have changed for the better as we've been creating Firebringer.  So every little bit helps!  One of those changes involves...

The Cast!

We are now ready to announce the cast for Firebringer.  It features 11 actors, many of whom you know, and some of whom you've never seen before! (at least with us).  We'll announce each member of the cast as our pledges grow!  You get the first cast member at $126k and a new cast member every $2000 after that!

Be the first to buy tickets for FIREBRINGER!

For the last three weeks, you guys have blown us away with your support! Firebringer is going to happen now, and that’s because of YOU!!! All 3000 of you! It only seems fair that you should be the first to buy tickets to the thing you helped CREATE!

So here’s the deal...

If we reach our stretch goal of $125,000 by tomorrow night (Sunday, April 10), we’re going to provide all of our backers with a pre-sale code that will allow you first access to all ticket sales! You’ll have four days to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public. These are the details:

Public Tix on sale May 1st 
BACKER Tix on sale April 27

Gen. Tix - $35
VIP Tix - $60 (early seating, theater tour, and a poster)

Performance Dates:
July 6-10 -  Wed-Sun (NO SATURDAY PERFORMANCE)
July 14-Aug 7 - Thurs-Sun

At the time I'm writing this update, there's only $7000 to go! That's less than $3 more per backer! And we've got about 30 hours to get it done! Let's do it!  

You guys have done some amazing things for us so far!  We're finalizing casting this weekend and hope to be able to share that soon!  And keep your eyes open for some add-ons in the last few days of the campaign.  :)

We're getting closer and closer to our stretch goal! 

Right now, we're just under $10k away from our stretch goal with 8 days left in the campaign! I think we can make it there by the end of this weekend? What do you think? Here's a reminder of what the stretch goals are!

This update is for everyone, so let me fill you in on some updates that ONLY our backers have been getting!  First of all, our backers have unlocked 3 clips from The Hobbit 2: The Lord of the Rings, our pre-StarKid show! Great job, everyone! Some people have been asking about the names on the Fellowship Hoodies, so here's a bonus clip that holds the explanation (sort of). 

Legolas = Hot Legs
Gimli = Dwarven Slime (Legolas made the hoodies)
Frodo = Bling Bearer
Sam = The Other Hobbit
Gandalf = Randalf
Boromir = Snoromir
Aragorn = Kick Me
